Vifa, renamed Peerless V-Line after the merger, sits in the middle of the market. The series differ mainly in cone material: treated paper for the Classic, glass fibre for the MG, polypropylene for the PL.
The XT series made the brand's reputation among amateurs. Its textile dome tweeter with a short waveguide crosses over easily around 2 kHz, which simplifies the filter considerably.
The more compact TC series suits bookshelf designs and centre channels where cabinet depth is limited.
The MG glass-fibre cone strikes a useful balance between stiffness and damping: the breakup region sits higher than on paper, without the sharp resonance of a metal cone.
Watch for references marked Discontinued. They appear in projects published fifteen years ago and can no longer be sourced. Reusing such a plan means recalculating the whole crossover around the replacement driver.

In practice
This is the range most two-way kits are built around, and the reason is the crossover rather than the driver. An XT tweeter and a Classic mid-woofer overlap widely enough that the filter does not have to be steep or precise, which forgives a first attempt.
When an old project calls for a discontinued reference, match by parameters rather than by series name. Fs, Qts, Vas and sensitivity decide whether the published cabinet volume and port still apply; the marketing name does not.
